Maggie (Karyn Dwyer) and Kim (Christina Cox) are two young women madly in love with each other and soon develop a passionate romance. However, when Maggie's mother Lila (Wendy Crewson) move's in with the couple she soon befriend's a transexual named Judy (Peter Outerbridge) who is just about to undergo a sex change operation. But when the staunchly conservative Lila learn's the truth about Maggie, it threaten's to shatter their bond.
